Why Did This World Championship Robotics Runner-Up Choose Darong Cambridge International Programme?
大榮劍橋國際專班八年級 Gloria，從六歲開始接觸樂高教育機器人。
Gloria, an eighth-grade student at Darong Cambridge International Programme, began exploring LEGO educational robotics at the age of six.
每年台灣舉辦 Botball Challenge 國內賽，前五名隊伍將代表台灣參加國際賽。2025 年，Gloria 與弟弟所在的隊伍脫穎而出，成為台灣代表隊選手，赴美參加 Botball Robotics Competition 世界賽，勇奪第二名！
Every year, the Botball Challenge holds a national competition in Taiwan, with the top five teams earning the opportunity to represent Taiwan internationally.
In 2025, Gloria and her younger brother’s team earned a place among Taiwan’s representatives and traveled to the United States to compete in the Botball Robotics Competition World Championship, where they won 2nd Place!
然而，升上國中後，繁重的課業一度讓她無法持續參與機器人集訓，也因此感到失落。
However, after entering junior high school, a demanding academic schedule made it difficult for Gloria to continue her robotics training, leaving her feeling disappointed and frustrated.
來到大榮劍橋國際專班後，媽媽慢慢看見孩子的改變。
After joining Darong Cambridge International Programme, her mother gradually began to notice a change in her.
Gloria 開始樂於和家人分享學校生活，談起同學時，會說：
「誰的體育很強、誰的音樂很棒、誰的英文很好。」
Gloria began enjoying sharing her school life with her family. When talking about her classmates, she would say things like:
“He’s really good at sports.”
“She’s amazing at music.”
“His English is really good.”
從她分享的語氣與神情中，家人感受到她對新環境的喜愛與認同。
Through the way she talked about her school and classmates, her family could see how much she enjoyed and connected with her new environment.
在學習之外，她也重新找回機器人的舞台，開始自主安排讀書時間，並回到團隊持續訓練。
Beyond academics, Gloria also found her way back to the robotics stage. She learned to manage her own study time and returned to her team to continue training.
對父母而言，孩子的成績固然重要，但更珍貴的，是看見孩子在追求學習與成長的同時，仍然能保有自己的興趣、熱情與目標。
For parents, academic achievement certainly matters. But what can be even more meaningful is seeing their child continue to pursue learning and growth without losing the interests, passions, and goals that make them who they are.
我們期待提供的不只是課程，而是一個兼顧學習、興趣與國際視野的環境，讓每個孩子都能在成長的過程中，探索自己的可能，走出屬於自己的方向。
